The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the only private one in northern Greece for premature and term babies with specific problems that require special care (respiratory problems, surgical diseases, congenital heart defects, etc.).

The state-of-the-art technological equipment impeccably combined with the highly experienced and specialized medical personnel guarantee the safe treatment of all problems related to infancy.

It has 19 incubators for high standards hospitalization.

Depending on the severity of each case, the neonates are hospitalized in the NICU in:

  1. Intensive Care , for treatment of serious problems during their acute phase.
  2. Special Care Unit, for neonates that have overcome basic problems or are hospitalized for relatively mild conditions.

The healthy neonates are kept and monitored in a separate room in the Maternity Ward.

Their monitoring is carried out by the  neonatologists of the NICU, who are present during the delivery of the baby for immediate and direct check-up.

The Intensive Care Unit (AICU) provides specialized care, monitoring and treatment after heart, brain, thoracic, chest and abdomen surgeries, but it is also where patients resuscitate after severe cases, such as heart attacks, injuries, respiratory diseases, etc. The ICU boasts an innovative circular layout with 22 beds and 4 isolation wards.
